Lot Ownership
The entire world of Vitare is created by players and their lots. A lot is a piece of land which a player owns and can build on.
Players can create anything with our powerful tools - from creative masterpieces to something totally unique!
Every player is able to own a piece of land once they have enough V$ to purchase it. Subscribers will be able to own additional lots.
How to Purchase
You can purchase a plot of land on the world map. Every piece of land is represented as a square grid with a default size of 20×20.
You will require a sufficient amount of V$ to cover the cost of the land. The cost will vary depending on the type of terrain you are looking to buy on. The cheapest being dirt, and the most expensive being snow. Denser areas will also cost more as well with them being more popular!
The plot you purchase will also affect the default terrain on the lot and surrounding things such as neighbours you will see and the environment - so pick wisely!
To purchase, simply click on the empty piece of land and a window will appear in-game detailing the cost. From here, select purchase and the lot will be yours!
Lot Management
You can manage your lot in the Lot Management panel, available to owners when they are in their lot.
The Lot Management panel has everything you need to understand your lot upkeep cost, change room information (name, description, category), who can access your lot, visitors, and even if you want to mark it for sale.
Lot Upkeep Costs
Your lot cannot go on forever. Your upkeep costs determines how much objects there are in your lot, your lot size and type of terrain you chose in the world map. New lots have a 7 day grace period before the upkeep starts and a x0.6 earnings modifier on your first bill.
Upkeep can only be paid by the owner of the lot.
The Upkeep Bar
This bar increases when visitors are present in your lot after some time. When it reaches 100%, the next bill becomes due for payment and is added to your outstanding.
Billing
When you are not paying your bills, it can stack up and eventually put your lot on lockdown! Visitors cannot join your lot and all objects in the lot becomes disabled from interacting until all bill payment is received. Do NOT let this slide!
Land
The cost of the type of land your lot is located. Dirt is the cheapest but snow is the most expensive.
Lot Size
The cost of the size of your lot. It increases the more plots/floors you upgrade for your lot.
Objects
The cost of the amount of objects in your lot. It increases the more objects the lot has in total.
Moving Your Lot
You can move your lot at any time!
Bulldoze Your Lot
You can start the whole lot all over again and on a new location.
Demolishing your current lot will destroy your what you have built in it and leave all of your objects back in your inventory and then buying your new lot on new land. By choosing this option will not refund you V$ demolishing walls and flooring. It is best to recover V$ by scraping your lot manually.
Lot Deeds & Selling Your Lot
You can transfer complete ownership of your lot to someone else or sell it to the market for a potential buyer.
Trading your lot deed from your inventory will grant them ownership of your lot as owner while relinquishing it from your possession. Keep in mind, there are two types of lot deeds you can give. One transfers the lot only and the other transfers the lot with the objects inside. Trade the deed with caution.
Marketing your lot can be sold to the open market from the Lot Manager and can be bought by any player in the world. You must purchase the fee for amount of hours before the lot goes into the market.
